70th Wedding Anniversary Edition Number 76 Carriage Clock
- Product Code:
- 101056
Description
Edition number 76 of an original 100.
To honour the 70th Wedding Anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip, The Duke of Edinburgh on 20th November 2017, Royal Collection Trust partnered with Mappin & Webb to create this exquisite Limited Edition Carriage Clock.
Part of our archive collection, this edition number 76 pays tribute to the enduring legacy of Britain’s longest royal marriage. The elegant design features an entwined monogram of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip, inspired by the gilded carvings of the thrones in Buckingham Palace’s Throne Room. A double knot motif, symbolising unity and strength, is drawn from the regal décor of the Garter Throne Room at Windsor Castle.
For over two centuries, Mappin & Webb has been synonymous with fine craftsmanship and heritage. Appointed Royal Warrant Holders since 1897, their master craftsman was named Crown Jeweller in 2012, continuing a legacy of excellence dating back to 1775, when Jonathan Mappin first opened his silver workshop in Sheffield.
