What we love
Lightly brew this aromatic blend and enjoy with a slice of refreshing lemon and a buttery shortbread biscuit.
Description
Our Buckingham Palace Earl Grey Tea is a brisk, aromatic blend of black tea and bergamot. It has sprightly and exotic citrus flavour and can be enjoyed throughout the day. Either lightly brewed with a slice of lemon or strong and hearty with milk. Earl Grey Tea was named in honour of Charles Grey, 2nd Earl of Grey who served as Prime Minister under William IV. It is a traditional blend which is characterised by the inclusion of bergamot flavouring. Bergamot is a fragrant citrus fruit which is native to southern Italy.
The design of the souvenir tin is inspired by two Worcester services in the Royal Collection. The delicate laurel branches and oak leaves are based on a breakfast service commissioned by George III in 1805 and the Royal Coat of Arms is taken from a spectacular service commissioned by William IV in 1830, still used today at the annual Garter Day luncheon held in the Waterloo Chamber, Windsor Castle.
Tin contains 50 teabags.
125g.
10.5 x 7 x 9.5 cm.
