Platinum Jubilee Edition Number 15 Carriage Clock
- Product Code:
- 102931
Description
Edition number 15 of an original limited edition of 50.
Part of our archive collection, this carriage clock was originally made to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee in 2022. This piece is number 15 of 50 and is individually numbered and certificated.
The enamelled face shows a specially commissioned design of olive branches and wheat ears to symbolise peace and prosperity. This exquisite design is applied using a silk-screen process, using two tones of gold paint so as to improve the visibility of the detail. The clock has been sculpted from solid brass under the watchful eye of a master clockmaker, with each individual part hand-polished to guarantee a perfect finish.
Made for Royal Collection Trust by Mappin & Webb who have been Royal Warrant Holders since 1897. The company's master craftsman was appointed Crown Jeweller in 2012. A family business, the company was established in 1775, when Jonathan Mappin opened a silver workshop in Sheffield.
