What we love

Belonging to a limited edition of 500, this hand-crafted plate is inspired by an original in the Royal Collection.

Description

This exquisite Limited Edition Plate, strictly limited to just 500 pieces, is a stunning tribute to royal craftsmanship. Each plate is presented in a handcrafted gift box, complete with a numbered certificate, making it a perfect collector's item.

The design draws inspiration from a Sèvres plate in the Royal Collection, purchased by George IV in 1809 from the Earl of Essex. This exquisite service, known as the Essex Service, dates back to around 1770. The plate features a beautiful central spray of flowers and fruit, elegantly framed by a rare turquoise blue border known as "bleu celeste," a colour highly prized for its rarity and beauty. This service is occasionally showcased at State Banquets, reflecting its enduring royal significance.

Handmade by skilled artisans in Stoke-on-Trent, this plate embodies traditional craftsmanship that has remained unchanged for over 250 years. Crafted from English fine bone china, renowned for its exceptional whiteness, delicacy, and durability, it is beautifully finished with 22-carat gold, adding a touch of luxury to any collection.

Diameter 27.5 cm.

Bespoke box 3 x 34 x 34 cm.
