Description
Inspired by a service crafted around 1820 for the Duke of Clarence, later known as William IV, this exquisite piece carries a rich royal heritage. A part of the service was presented as a wedding gift to The Duke and Duchess of York, who became George V and Queen Mary, by the Royal Warrant holders in 1893. Adorned with the ducal coronet and lion resting atop national flowers, this design is encircled by the motto of the Order of the Garter: "Honi Soit Qui Mal y Pense" ("Evil Be Unto Him Who Evil Thinks").
Handmade by skilled artisans in Stoke-on-Trent, this stunning piece showcases traditional craftsmanship that has remained unchanged for over 250 years. Made from English fine bone china, known for its exceptional whiteness, delicacy, and durability, it is beautifully finished with 22-carat gold, adding a touch of opulence to any table setting.
Not suitable for use in a dishwasher or microwave.
22 x 28 cm.
